Neighbours star Matty Wilson has revealed that he’s currently recovering after a pretty nasty watersports accident.
The actor, who plays fan favourite Aaron Brennan in the Aussie soap, shared the news with his Instagram followers yesterday (January 15).
Alongside a video , he wrote: “All this for the low price of 1x punctured lung, a fractured spine and sciatica.

“FUN (as @jessicawaters9 aka the-love-of-my-life-who-I-wouldn’t-wish-any-pain-upon put it). The second vid is the following days riding without knowing how bent up I really was. #onespeedbaby.”
Responding to comments, the star said that it “Sounds worse than it feels”, and that he hasn’t had surgery, but does have “a ticket to be lazy for 8 weeks”.
Digital Spy reached out to Neighbours to see if his accident will affect his filming schedule, though they did not offer comment.
Matt’s character Aaron has been one of the soap’s biggest characters in recent years, with his relationship with David Tanaka breaking down walls in terms of gay representation on Australian TV.
The two tied the knot last year ( with a very special wedding song ) and they also recently got a dog, but that’s not going to last, sadly .
Neighbours airs every weekday at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
